I followed the professor’s suggestion to add some simple keyframe animation to the robot model, I encountered some small difficulties in the production process, the skeletal system of maya is not very skilled, skinning and weighting is very time-consuming, as well as the use of controllers to create keyframe animation is a little difficult for me, I remember I applied to the school’s Project 1 maya skeleton animation production for two months, but still I remember I applied for school Project 1 maya skeleton animation production for two months but still have wear mould and look not too natural situation, originally I want to import to blender to make animation but, because of blender is not too familiar with, finally chose to make in maya.

I also encountered a very incomprehensible problem, maya file exported to FBX format file, and then imported to UE5 encountered animation can not be displayed. Before using FBX file export is not bad, this time I do not know where the problem, import and export settings seem to be no problem.

I switched to exporting an alembic file using the Arnold renderer, and using the alembic file and then importing it into UE5 the difficulty was solved.
Finally, I would like to say that I may be considered as a good modler according to the professor, but there is still a gap between me and my classmates in other aspects, such as skeletal animation, scene layout, lighting, camera and aesthetics, so I hope that in the next year I can slowly settle down here, and I hope that I can produce a work that satisfies me in the end, so that I can give myself the most satisfactory answer!
